Hi All,
I purchased a Nokia Lumia 920 last week (20th January to be precise).
I am facing the following problems:
- The phone gets heated up when I make a call , aceess net etc
Response that I got from customer care was that this is due to 3G .. I mean after spending around 37K this is the response one gets .. Why to have 3G functionality afterall if you cant keep the phone cool ...
- Nokia drive doesnt work on my phone
Somehow the navigation doesnt work on my phone .. Hopefully its a software issue .. However I am yet to hear from the "Nokia Lumia 920 expert" as informed by the call center ..
I am in love with the build quality and camera of the phone .. It is the best in the market but these issues are kind of bugging and have left a bad taste ..
Nokia - Please help in resolving these issues .. Its a beautiful product and must be backed up with excellent customer service as well ..
Regards
Devanshu

Any phone get warm when you use it for an extended period. However, if you feel that it is getting uncomfortably hot then you should get it checked out at your local Nokia Care Point straight away.
Same with the gps functionality. I find it to be one of the best phones in this regard and can only suggest that there is a fault with yours.
The Nokia Care Point should be able to make an assessment of both the above faults.
You can locate your nearest care point using the link below
Your call for caution is unjustified as the faults you mentions are not common and do not affect the majority of Lumia 920's.

****The above stated incident happened today. This is probably the 4th mail I have written to them . My phone had been facing screen flickering and audio issues and was deposited on the 15th of feb'13.*********
I don't think it's a bad phone, but the after sales service is PATHETIC

You should get a new micro SIM from your service provider. Usually you get one for free, because almost all new phones has the new micro SIM standard. If the Lumia 920 had followed the old SIM standard, that would be much worse, I think.

Hi VirenG. I'm sorry to hear about the experience you have with the Service Center. It's best that you use the "Contact Us" link at your local Nokia website. You can also get in touch with your local Nokia Careline for any unresolved issue or complaint.
You can contact them here: http://www.nokia.com/in-en/support/contact/

So I went to the service center to collect my phone, where upon receiving the device I noticed a scratch on the bottom left of the screen. I brought this to the attention of the manager and instead of accepting the fact that there were lapses committed on Nokia's behalf, he started to sermonize me on why I hadn't picked up the phone earlier. I explained to him that I had been out of the country but he was still argumentative and rude. Didn't get his name though. This took place at the Ludhiana center in Model Town.So now we are back to where we started. I still don't have my phone(as it has been sent back to you) and your archaic policy doesn't allow you to give me a new one. It has now been close to 20 days and frankly I'm sick and tired of your " I sincerely regret the inconvenience caused" statement. Is this the kind of treatment that you give a customer that has done your company a favour by buying the phone that you THINK can save NOKIA'sface in the premium smart-phone segment?Let me also illustrate the other inconvenience your delay in giving me my phone has caused. The 920 unfortunately takes a micro sim, which essentially means I had to cut my sim to fit the size. Now when I gave the phone back to you, I had to insert the sim back into my Xperia-Ray which takes the standard sim. So after much trial and error I managed to get that phone working. However, now the phone has refused to accept the sim and i inquired about getting a new one from airtel but they said I'll have to wait for 2-3 days to get one as they were out of stock. I know this doesn't concern you directly but this situation wouldn't have arisen if you had given me a working phone.
Now, I honestly don't care how you do it, but I want a phone in my hand by the end of this week. I don't care if you have to ship one tomorrow, because I have had it with you people. I would like it if somebody from your company would call me tomorrow.
