Hello,
I just got a new Nokia Lumia 900 from our company. It had been sitting around for awhile, so it had an older OS on it. Not sure if that matters, but including all information.
I took it to the AT&T store, got a new mircrosim and fired it up. The Nokia Collection was there the first time, but I couldn't download anything. Just a series of Marketplace errors.
I then tried the loading the xBox avatar/profile trick, by loading it for two minutes and coming back, no luck there. I've reset the phone three times. Once the Nokia Collection was there but after trying to download the first app (Entrance - AOL) it started returning errors again and was gone shortly thereafter.
I'm at a loss at this point. I've reset the phone to factory three times and it is still not there. Please help!

I've upgraded to the latest OS as well. As fate would have it, it just completely died an is unresponsive to all touch or buttons or anything. Not feeling like my best experience.....

Will it power up? If not, first try rebooting the phone by pressing and holding the power button for at least 8 seconds and see if it starts up after that. If not not powering up then try the hard reset which is to press and hold the volume down + camera and power buttons. Your phone will vibrate. Release the power button but continue to hold the other two for at least five seconds. Also try removing the sim.
If still no luck then you should have it checked out at your local Nokia care point.

The phone powered back on after holding the power button down for about 30 seconds. So I'm passed that problem, but still can't get the Nokia Collection to show up in the Marketplace. Any other last ditch thoughts from anyone?

You should still be able to search for the Nokia app you are looking for even if Nokia Collection isn't specifically listed in Marketplace.

I reset the phone for the fourth time and was finally able to get the Nokia Collection to show up. I decided to not add my Exchange account before getting the Nokia apps this time and that worked (whether or not that mattered, I don't know).
During that time I was not able to search for the Nokia specific apps. They wouldn't populate. When clicking them through the App HIghlights app it would take me to them in the Marketplace but the install button would never show and I recall on one of them it said something to the tune of I couldn't install the app on my device.
The other issue that seems to be persistent now is random power offs. I seem to have a bad unit with respect to the battery but there is not much I can do since this was a work giveaway and not a phone under contract or anything....

Even though it is a work giveaway, it should still be under warranty. Considering the problems you are experiencing, you should consider getting checked out at your local Nokia care point.
