Hi all!
Good news! We have brought forward the software update schedule for our Nokia Lumia 710, and have begun rolling out the latest update 1600.3015.8107.12070 to India and Singapore. We will add more countries and variants to the rollout based on market requests.
The new Lumia 710 update brings the following enhancements:
• Smoother device performance (when ending a call) as well as
• other minor performance and usability improvements
As soon as the update is available for you, your phone will display a notification on your Homescreen or you can check for available updates manually by going to Settings > phone update. To update your phone, please follow those 4 steps:
1. Install the Zune software (Windows) or Windows Phone 7 Connector (Mac OS) on your computer. You'll need this software to download the phone update.
2. Connect your phone to your computer, using the USB cable that came with your phone.
3. If the Zune software or Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac doesn't start automatically when you connect your phone, start it manually.
4. In the Zune software, click Update Now (in Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac, click Install Updates). Make sure you keep your phone connected to your computer until you see a notification that the update is complete.
Best regards,
Yvonne from Nokia Care

Well La Dee Dah Yvonne . . . I got news for you . . . 3 different nokia employess at 3 different times and days told me that they have no idea when a new update will be out. Infact one of them went so far as to tell me to sell of my phone and buy a new one if i'm not happy with it and guess what . . . Thats EXACTLY what i did. I had 2 Nokia Lumia 710's. A black one for myself and a white one for my wife. Well so taking your Nokia Employees enlightened advice I went and bought a black Samsung Galaxy S II for myself and a white one for my wife . . . And trust me when i say this but i'm going to go around telling anyone who cares to listen how Nokia cheated a custome who's been loyal to them for the last 22 YEARS. Adios Nokia and i'm glad to say it's NOT Au-Revoir

Any hints on how we increase market demand? Does checking for updates from say the UK increase the speed at which the upgrade is available?
Good news that hopefully the ending call bug will be fixed.

No update here.
Also I'm facing a new kind of error:
everytime I connect my device and run Zune, I can see that my device is connected (the "phone" menu appear in the top) but if I try to update Zune tell me that there is no device connected. So I have to disconnect and connect again. After doing this I receive an error tell me that the "Setup is incomplete" and then that I have to restart and reconnect my device.
Can you help me?
/Stefano

’We will add more countries and variants to the rollout based on market requests.’’
There is no request, there is an absolute necessity! Patience is usually my second nature, but the whole non communication policy since the launch of the Nokia Lumia 800 is scandalous. When Nokia finally listening to their customers and responds quickly to problems and childhood illnesses. Like many others with me I'll be forced to daily to plug my device to the Zune software in the hope that Nokia (Netherlands) will be so kind to update my phone.
Nokia, listen, communicate (especially in the media and forums) and trade as a company that lives up to your image!

Well, not a moment too soon. I seriously am weary of this phone. There are SO many compromises that you need to make to put up with it. In a sense, I am the target market for this phone, the first time smartphone buyer, and I cannot help but feel underwhelmed. I paid Rs 18000 for this, and what I get in return is an embarrassing slap on my face really.

how about the much more important fixes in the lumia 800 update? such as bass boost for headsets and improved battery life? the lumia 710 is basically in the same boat so we're missing these as well, the headset sounds like **bleep** atm.

Is there any possibilities to get same kind of uppdate for Lumia 710, as you released for Lumia 800?
I mean also Lumia 710 suffers about poor battery life and weak music quality when listening through headphones. Expecially increasing battery life would be extremely important for the Lumia users. In finnish forums there is lots of discussion about Lumia 700's battery problems and some people are even ready to change their phone to another if this problem won't be solved soon.
