Still no update here (Italy).
It's really annoying and upsetting this lack of communication and also answering from Microsoft and Nokia.
No update, no release date.. nothing!
I will do my best to spread this all around and I'd really like if also all the other guys here will do it.
Then I wonder if someone else will risk to face this hell, this NO respect from Nokia and Microsoft for their customer!
It's really a shame cause I think that technically the Windows Phone platform became quite good, but it's ruined by this behavior and this micro managing people. Congrats!
Malaysia still not release new software. I get respond from nokia care and below:
In response to your inquiry, we have verified from our resources that there is an available update for Nokia Lumia 710 in Malaysia which is version 1600.3013.7740.11500. On the other hand, please note that the availability of software update can still depend on the variant of a Nokia phone. Variant devices are identified by product code and not all variants already have the latest Nokia device software.
In addition, please note that not all countries and operators support the latest version. Furthermore, the software update availability is based on many things, including existing Nokia device software version, product code, country, and operator. It can be due to one of these variables that a Nokia device is ineligible for updates.
However, new software may become available at a later date, so please check back soon.
Furthermore, if there are no available updates yet for your Nokia handset, we suggest that you perform a reboot and reset which can help you isolate the issue.
To do so, kindly follow the steps below:
First, we recommend that you make a back up of all your personal files first before doing the procedure to avoid data loss. You can use the Zune PC application sync or create a back up of all your media files.
The backup includes the following:
- System settings
- Account settings
Please be advised that your downloaded application will not be included in the backup; however, you can re-download them from the Marketplace.
Why the update is not released worldwide????
All the people are experiencing this problem cause you hired engineer that are not able to make the simplest and more basic thing in a phone: close a call.
So why I bought this *****, I paid with my money (all and good) and I don't deserve to receive this update???? WHY NOKIA??????????
I (WE) WANT AN ANSWER!!!!!!!!!
Don't write this fuc***g post and then disappear!!! ANSWER!!!!

Sorry but I didn't understand. How did u get ur update?
Think that OP meant that visited Nokia Care Point whom installed latest software upon Lumia 800!
Symbian specialist until 31/01/2013 with interests in Maemo & MeeGo but an aversion to Windows!
Purchasing the Lumia 710 feels like a mistake so far as I thought I was upgrading to a better phone. Turns out this phone is still an infant when it comes to useability and function. Also I have lost some of the basic features of T Mobile here in the US such as tether and WiFi calling.
Completely unacceptable and unless this new update which I have not seen yet or T Mobile addresses these issues I will be throwing this phone away (or selling it to whomever wants it) and going back to my old trusty phone which works fine and has all the features I use!
Lets not whine about this anymore. Nokia has rolled out an update, which completely solves the End Call problem, resumes from lock screen a bit faster, calling to numbers staring with * and ending with # has also been improved
For the people who say you are from India or Singapore etc and your unable to get the update, its because your PC is not configured properly. Please goto control panel on your windows PC, and under language and accessibility options set your country/region to India or Singapore whichever is yours. Then try updating through Zune, it should work.
I am from India and i had updated my phone with the latest update.
but after a while i faced the problem in the calling.
Before updating to new version, my phone outgoing was working perfectly fine.
but after updating the software, i was not able to do the outgoing calls at all.
If i dial a no. the message i was getting in the screen was "00:00 ENDED" and that too without dialtone.
Today i reverted back to the old software and made a call instantly after the restoration, i was able to do the outgoing call..
I think Nokia should really check out this issue.
Other problems i faced: (Not sure if any of you are facing similar problems):
1. Ringing tone volume and Message tone sound is too low. Its like you will have to keep the phone in your hand to get notified of the incoming call or message.
2. There is no option to stop the music playing. only you can play and pause the music but you cannot completely close it using BACK Button.
3. There is no folders provided for message (like the symbian systems have) wherein we can move our messages seperately.
I hope Nokia addresses the above issues.
From malaysia, I got the updates, thankyou.
It stated in nokia malaysia site that this new update fixes the special call like *100#, but still its not working for me.
When will the windows phone be able to do that, so that it would be easier for me to get extra service from my TELCO.

I told a guy at work how much I loved Windows Phone and if he was looking for a great phone for under £200 he should get at Lumia 710. So he did, the very next day!
I didnt seem him at the weekend but today he showed me that he had an ENDING CALL stuck on his screen, which he said happends to him each time.
I would love to get this sorted from him. He has a branded O2 UK phone, any idea when he will get an update as Zune shows nothing?
His daughter is talking him into a Samsung Galaxy and if it isnt fix he might end up tating this phone back as he is allowed a few days to think about it.
