Looks like this is a common problem in lumia 710. Its a hardware related problem. The only solution seems to be replacement of the phones motherboard at Nokia Care Centre..

i am a mac user and my windows phone 7 connector says my lumia 710 software version is 07.10.08779.03, but the "check for updates" box is un-clickable. what should i do?
