This is what you get when your communication people fail and you don't provide feedback on an issue: people will start trying to fix it themselves.
Nokia's PR is awful.

This update has a new VERY annoying bug. When you listen to music or there is some other sound and incoming call occurs then the sound level instantly GOES TO THE MAX. After 1 second it goes down to normal and the incoming call sound occurs. This is fcking awful! I can get deaf when listening to music via my headphones this way!

Hi Yvonne,
I was wondering where it is possible to report bugs/issues and suggestions for Lumia 800?
I only have the phone for a few days now and I have just updated to 1600.2487.8107.12070. There are some things I want to point out:
1. BUG: Fairly loud "popping noise" while music/radio/video is playing when another sound is about to be played. i.e. before unlock sound, and typing sound when music is playing.
2. BUG/ISSUE: The radio reception is quite poor. I had an Android device previous to this device and my radio reception was at least 2 times better.
3. SUGGESTION: Ability to set the volume of, Alarms, Calls/Notifications and Media seperately.
Loving the phone so far. If bug fixes, and features are continued to be rolled out on a regular basis I think that the Nokia-WindowsPhone pursuit will be a great one!
Regards
Gearoid Keane

There should be a Separate update released for the 710 Lumia
The Update for the Lumia 800 won't work on the 710

Im in the UK with an unbranded 800 and have carried out the update...
The good news is... the battery life is now excellent. I charged the phone last night. Unplugged at 11pm.. used the phone all day today, it has exchange running constantly, it has wifi running (when screen is on of course as I believe it sleeps once the screen goes off) and I have Bluetooth on all the time and it still has 55% charge (as of 18:06hrs, thats about 19hrs use i think with 55% left to go) I've used it for email, calls and a little web browsing. Now that is one marked improvement from the pre upgrade. Well done Nokia..
Now.. roll the update out for everyone else that wants to do it the official way.. go on.. you know you want too..
Anyway.. good luck peeps...
