Hello All,
I have a Nokia Lumia 800 with the product code "059P1Z4" that is not listed among the codes available in Romania. In the "About" menu on the phone it says Carrier: Romania CV. Will I get the update or not?
Kind Regards,
Bogdan B.

Hi everyone asking for availability o the update,
Please take a moment to read the forum guidelines if you have a question, especially this part;
1. Search before you post. If you are looking for an answer to a specific question, there’s a good chance that it has already been posted. First try a search using likely keywords. You can search from the whole forum (select "Community") or from within a certain area (select "Board").
If it looks like the question hasn’t been answered, please start a new topic! (Note that only Nokia personnel can start new topics in the Guidelines and News-sections.)
You can find the answer to your question in these posts:
While-the-Nokia-site-says-the-Lumia-update-is-avai
New-update-for-Lumia-800-and-Lumia-710-launched
Currently this is all the information available and if you read the content of these posts and follow the links they provide you will find all available information. The main thing here is that it was announced the update would start 27th of June and last for several weeks before being available to all devices.
What this means is that while your device might be receiving the update in the first batch it can take some time before it does. While I can understand everyone is anxious to receive the update the schedule for availability is set and as such it will arrive in due course.
Hope this helps,
Kosh

hey guys, just do followwing these steps:
- Connect your phone to your computer
- When Zune has been started, choose Setting -> Update
- After 3 to 8 seconds, disconnect your computer from internet (8 seconds work for me)
- Wait until appearing "Update Available" or something else in Zune
- Reconnect your computer from internet
- Click "Update"
I tried almost 10 times before i realized that i disconnected from internet too early. This is just an update trick. I think it is due to Zune's bug
Good luck! ![]()

Finally, got the update last night on my 800. Its actually 2 Microsoft OS updates and a third Nokia firmware update. It took almost 90 mins but glad that its done. Finall i can see the teathering feature enabled. Still looking for any changes/ issues that this update might have brought up.
P.S. I didn't try the force update. It just happened automatically. Also, i am from india. The support page said the update had been live for my variant since the last 4 days.

I did it for my Lumia 710 (India).
The trick is to rig the system—basically use the same trick many of you did for Mango where you put your phone into Airplane mode (disable all radios), plug into Zune and check for an update. You then navigate away and go back to “Check for update” but as soon as it starts to look (about 2 seconds) you kill your internet on your PC. Now you wait about 30 seconds and an update will be shown.

What update?. After about a week, I've not got any notification nor Zune saying update available etc.
Nokia, seriously, sync your "available" messages to users with Microsoft. You ruin the last bits of Nokia reputation by stumbling with end user experiences. Lots of users, including me, feel **bleep** of by non-valid messages of something available that is not.
We as end users don't care why the updates don't show up. Whether it is some MS "throttling control" or "propagate to Zune servers" are irrelevant **bleep**. By setting update available to everyone and THEN letting users know would generate positive feedback. Your current way just makes users get as far as possible from MS/Nokia products.

Hi All.
I've tried the update trick (menttioned before) and works for me, but I would like to add some comments:
- Wait for exactly 3 seconds (no more).
- Use over wifi internect connection (not cable)
- Do not use under a Proxy server
- After some unsuccessful tries in the same day, wait until the next day to try again.
Good Luck.
P.S. I'm Nokia Lumia 800 user.
