HI
I have Lumia 710 and my Firmware revision number: 1600.3007.7740.11465. But still no update can't be found. Any suggestions? My brothers has the same phone bought on the same date from the same place, but he had the update from few days already

@Amithsiji: Please be aware that the subject of this discussion not only refers to the Lumia 800. If you post exact information please have it complete. The Lumia 710 firmware versions is different!

I strongly disagree with the in this forum advised trick to force Zune. Things should just work easily and without this kind of tweaks.
Furthermore it comes more and more clear that some party in the game is cheating us all.
Nokia states that they are waiting for provider approval. While providers communicate to their customers that they have approved some time ago. And both point to Microsoft being the man in the middle.
Right now it happens that the new software release for some product code is availlable on the Nokia Care Suite server while the roll-out status says: Waiting for approval and Zune keeps silent.
Now you (Nokia) tell me. Who is cheating us? Or at least hiding part of the truth.
Nokia, the providers or Microsoft?
And if answering the above is asked too much? Perhaps you could communicate a general lessons learned from the current update process/procedure. But please, don't hide yourself in silence.

Thanks lylken for advise.
In my case it was 4.5s and I think it depends on your computer configuration.
I already have updated five 710s for which zune could not find an update. ![]()
Tip for the ones struggling with update: if zune reports connection error - wait some more time before disconnecting network, when it reports "firmware up to date" - disconnect earlier.
Good luck!

Hi all,
I would like some from NOKIA to explain my situation.
I have Lumia 800 (product code 059L820) my colleague has the same model, same product number, both phones were bought in the same store on the same day. His phone received the Tango update mine still nothing. When I connect via Zune it says that the phone is up to date.
I do not get it, I have tried to run Zune on various PC-s, but with no luck.

What do you mean by not being able to download Camera Extras ? Do you find it in the Marketplace but are unable to download or do you not even see it there ?

I love the way how Nokia moderators express and interprete thing called time:
Kosh on 28th of June: "Propagation through the update servers for Zune may take a little time and is something Nokia has no control over so please have a little more patience when you seen the status as 'Update Available' on the Nokia webpage."
It's now 11th of July, no update available.. what could "some time" mean in moderator's language pack, half a year?

Hi, I checked that my product code is not listed in http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-updat
I bought my phone directly with Movistar here in Venezuela. (NOKIA LUMIA 800)
I saw that the update is avaible for my country now, but the code that apears there is different from mine, also it doesn't list MOVISTAR just Country Variant.
Does this will affect my update, because zune say i have the last 7.10 (8107)

Been waiting 2 weeks, update is available for my code, zune won't update.
Next phone most certainly won't be a WP/Nokia if this keeps happening.
Update should be available on the same day on the whole globe.

Nokia are you deaf or blind???
Cant u see ur customers are waiting too much???
Cant u provide a solution to their problem???
But Nokia I assure you I will not repeat the mistake.....
All the best for your future really u need it...
Moderators notes: Factually inaccurate statement removed as tethering is available in the Lumia series.

I am also a little bit annoyed about the long time to wait for the update. With my Symbian phones I had more luck..
I really think Nokia is clear enough about the process and as I read other manufacturers are even worse with updating a system (see Android).
Nonetheless, I also think that Nokia should only declare product code is updated when it really is approved and in the MS channel. Or otherwise MS should be more transparent in the way they push the updates...

I received the update today. first impressions:
Internet tethering works ![]()
volume bug... still there (if I use my handsfree earphones the volume is all the way up, and adjusting it does nothing and the call receiver hears its own voice with echo)
Camera extras not available for me. (Latin America)
Play To works like a charm

Right, I have posted this several times already. But I will do it again. The process works like this.
1. Nokia Sends the firmware (once it has been approved at country level or by the local operator) to Microsoft.
2. Microsoft checks the firmware and then publishes it to their servers -> this is then the availability date that Nokia publishes.
3. Microsoft applies a "throttling" process where they only allow a certain percentage of phones to be updated each week until by 4-5 weeks after the publishing date all phones with the same product code have access to the update.
So for example, if you went into a store and bought 10 identical Lumia 800s, with the same product code you would not be able to update all of them immediately the new firmware is published. You might be able to update 2 of them in week 1, another 3 in week 2, 3 more in week 3, 1 in week 4 etc... until finally the last phone can be updated.
This is just how Microsoft do things. Annoying I know, and same for me as my Lumia 800 is not update yet either.
