Hi i'm new here. I swapped my new Motorla for a friends Lumia 920 and managed to get it unlocked successfully. However when I put in my O2 simcard it shows O2 in the phone tile briefly but then shows "no Service". It shows 5 bars on the signal strength icon with a no entry sign over it.
Anyone come across this problem?
Many thanks

@speedyone
Presume that this 920 originally supplied locked to EE with their branded software, so I doubt that this will include all the settings for their rivals as would be found upon generic SIM free version. Have you tried a T-Mobile/Virgin SIM with it?

Hey thanks for the reply.
Tried a soft reset a couple of times there no change.
Tried update on wifi but it says no updates available. I got an orange, tmobile and another o2 PAYG today cards to try them out and when i switch phone on it shows the networks in the phone tile momentarily but then switches to "no service"

I bought this phone two weeks ago. Set it up and everything worked fine. Five days later, following an over the air update, I have been plagued by 'no signal' for 99% of the time.
I trawled the internet and found that there had been a problem with firmware version 1308 in the USA. I checked what firmware version I had and it is the same. A further trawl shows that people are having the problem over here as well.
I have been onto Nokia who finally acknowledged the problem and to be patient until a fix is released, Hopefully, because a fix has already been written for the USA, it won't be long to be released here. Having said that, O2 from my experience, seem to take an extraordinary long time to release software updates.
I believe this is the best [Windows] phone on the market and I don't want to give it up, so I shall have to be patient, I guess. I just wish that Nokia and O2 would release a statement and keep their customers informed.
