My almost one year old lumia 800 has started showing No Serive error, the customer care executive has told me it could be a problem with the sim card slot. I even reset my phone to no avail. I get the serive for a minute or so after refitting the sim card. Has anyone faced simillar problem?

Is your SIM a network provided microSIM or trimmed miniSIM to fit?

I got the same problem it also started doing it now and then and not all the time. The last week it just stays off and does not even have signal at all but the sim is working cause I can access the sim applications and I tried a trimmed sim and 3 network provided sim cards same thing

I've just got a brand new 800 and my service changes from nothing to full constantly, can't make or receive calls and msgs are delayed. It may have been ok until i did the software update i think?

This has now happened to me. The phone shows no service and nothing I do can get my service back, including factory reset. It previously happened to me, but after a couple of hours the service came back, i'm not sure why. This time my phone has been like it for 17 hours. I wonder how much longer I am going to have to wait. Did any above find away to solve this.

It's not a sim issue, it's an issue with the phone, it's happening to loads of lumia 800 users.

I have had my N800 for about a year, and I didn't have this problem until I updated to OS 7.10.8862.144

Nokia - I think you have a bug in this version of code!!!

Issues occur if the phone goes to zero battery power - once it does, and I recharge it, I then need to remove/reseat the SIM repeatedly before it finally chooses to recognise the SIM
