I just received my Nokia Charging Stand DT-910 to go with my ATT Nokia 920.
1) I ordered the black stand. The stand and proprietary cord are black, but that huge AC charger is actually white. I can't believe that they didn't match the color on such an expensive accessory.
2) The actual NFC functionality does not work for me on the 920. Yes, when I tap the 920 to the base of the stand, I correctly get the NFC popup, and when I accept it takes me to what is obviously the Nokia software. The screen is titled "Charging Stand", and it starts on the Set Up page. It shows a diagram of the charging stand. The problem is that this app hangs. The progress dots on the top of the screen never stop moving. And the list where I am supposed to choose the application to open stays greyed out and never responds. It just continues hung like this forever, or on one occasion the phone rebooted itself.
Is there a fix for this? The software hang is making my stand useless in terms of it's NFC functionality....

@bsd107
Think that it is a software issue currently, what happens if you go Settings > accessories - as this aplication should update the very first time that you open it?

Came here today to post the exact same behavior as you have described. 920, AT&T, Charging stand (came yesterday, black stand, white power supply, yuck). NFC tap gets me to configure page with the application selection box grayed out and perpetual dots. Accessory notes that I have a Charge Stand but says NFC not configured. You are not alone. Guess we need to start a support group.
Nokia, over to you.

I received my charging stand and have the same behavior with the software on my Lumia 920. In fact, I found your topic after Googling exactly for this issue.
Nokia, do you have a software fix on the way?
Thanks in advance!

OK got mine to work. There is another thread about the app starting slow, which meant it worked for some so I had hope. Asked the poster if he had done anything special, and no. So I just tried again with way more patience. Went to the accessories screen and the patience dots started travelling across the top as usual. I just put the phone down in that condition and did something else. Probably 5 min later I came back and the dots had stopped when I unslept and unlocked the phone to that screen. Then when I clicked Charge Stand, the application window was available, and clicking it provided a list of all my apps. I selected one and it stuck. Not near my charger to see if it works beyond that, but I have gotten past the pick the app issue.

Waiting does not work for me. The progress dots go on forever. Usually, within 5 or 10 minutes, the phone then crashes and restarts. Still non-functional.

adrianhuges,
This is not a solution. http://nokia.com/support simply has links to the discussions here - including this one.

You can actually get to more support options from that link, like here, http://www.nokia.com/us-en/support/contact/ which offers chat and phone numbers. Not sure what could happen in this case though, as there just seems to be some issues in the NFC implementation. Seems it varies a bit between devices, but overall has some issues. I would guess the number of folks with a wireless charge capability, that also know about this forum is probably small, but I'm sure the issue will gain some visibility as more folks give it a try. As I said I got it past the streaming dots and selected an app to launch, but now I have the interminably slow app launch. The same app that springs up instantaneously from the start or program menu, takes 5-10 minutes to launch when initiated via the NFC tap. I've just turned this off for now, as I expect some software update at some point. I have done some other NFC stuff with marginal success. Tapping the charging base to start an app is not a make or break feature for me. If it is for you, contact Nokia directly, rather than through this user forum.

I have same problems. When I tap DT-910, I get message immediately and accept NFC-connection. But then I get busy dots for 38 seconds, after that application launches. If I go to Settings > Accessories, it shows immediately header "Accessories" and both Chargers I have. But then it takes the about 30-40 seconds to show what are the applications to launch (the second line with smaller font below accessory name).
Looks like there is troubles to find out which application should be launched with each charger... and that causes those delays between tap and application launch.

conversly, I tried another Lumia 920, works fine works quickly. My thought is that an app is killing it? Help!

hi ImmortalLobster,
There was an update pushed by Nokia in the Store today that has updated the Accessories settings. If you can't see it in the Store on your device, you can grab it by following the simple QR code in this thread here: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Pool-of-Knowledge/

Yes I notices that brand new Accessories update. Doesn't help me, still application launching takes 30-40 seconds. Or configurating settings, it takes also same time. looks like device is waiting for something, and stops waiting after some timeout.
