Brand new 900 on first day of use. I have 2 email accounts running and twitter through Rowi, about 4.5 hours of use I have 20% battery.

On my 2 year old iPhone 4 running at least twice as many apps/services I have 86%. I kept the iphone just for this reason. How notifications on a LIVE account could appear faster on my iPhone is disturbing.

This is going back tonight unless anyone has any idea what could be causing this. Yes BT is off, screen darkened (which is not how I want it) but darkened anyway. The OS is great, a real task manager and fast app switching would be nice. That brings me back to my orginal problem, even IF we're allowed to load WP8 on here it seems it chew through the battery in under a hour.

I haven't seen this problem on mine.  How are you using it, and what apps have you installed?

Purchased phone on Monday, April 9th, 2012.
Weds. APril 11th, 2012, began battery test based upon my daily use
of the Nokia Lumia 900:
6:15am. Unplug phone from Nokia supplied usb wall charger after complete overnight charge
Periodic use to check mail. Estimate 15 minutes of use with morning hibernation

Noon-14:00-WIreless hotspot feature ran for two hours
standby mode for afternoon
17:30-battery conservation mode began automatically. Indicator read 11% charge remained
19:05-downloaded two Apps and began twittering
19:20, battery completely drained and shut down
20:40, Charging
-periodic white screen flash alternating with low battery indicator icon)
22:30, phone ready for use and continues to charge

Background:
I remember my battery test with the IPHONE 4S with an upgrade back in Nov. 2011. At the time, i got 6-8 hrs run time before the unit shut down. That was months before IOS 5.1 was issued. Battery life was the reason I returned the IPHONE 4S during the 30 day trial period.

Same problem... Battery life sucks!  My battery is dead within five hours!

Same here.....battery life 4-6 hours with everything off, except wi-fi and both battery saver on. If the problem is not solved, I will go to consumer protection.
