Hi There
I am trying to use Internet Sharing on my Nokia Lumia 900 but when I hit the switch to start it I get a message "Connection not shared, There's no cellular data connection to share right now. Check your cellular settings and signal, and try again"
Obviously there is a cellular data connection, otherwise I wouldn't make this post. I have checked the cellular connection, I am showing a strong signal and 4G for the connection, I have also done some surfing from IE just to prove that it actually connects and returns web pages etc.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi MayBoy,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
It may be that your operator does not allow the use of tethering, and thus your mobile internet access is limited to the phone itself. To check this, please review the terms and conditions of your contract and contact your operator for more information.
Let us know how you get on,

Hey,
That's a bug in the latest update, just roll back using the zune software. Everyone I know with a Lumia 900 had that issue after the last update and rolling back solved the issue.
Cheers,

I definitely had this before my last update, after updating to the latest I too get the following:
Connection not shared
There's no cellular data connection to share right now. Check your cellular settings and signal, and try again.
Rogers did tell me that it was a known issue with the last Nokia s/w update.
When will a fix be released for this?

My situation and setup is the exact same as antoinecloutier. Can someone please advise when this will be handled at Nokia?
It is not a Rogers issue, and was most definitely worked prior to the late fall 2012 software update. No I have 7.8 and still not sharing. This is a major issue!
Please let us know!
