Nokia Lumia 920 Proximity alledgely repaired question

Hi, everyone knows about the proximity fault on the lumias, I have just had mine so called repaired by Nokia and now a week later its gone again and is worse than ever, so it is going back to Nokia for repair again. Obvioulsy im not happy like a lot of people here. Has anyone else had there phone so called repaired then its gone again?, How many times have you had it repaired etc?,did you get a replacement handset?

Re: Nokia Lumia 920 Proximity alledgely repaired question

As far as I'm aware the problem with the proximity sensor is usually caused by dust getting under the screen. So I would hazard a guess and say that the Nokia repair centre has merely cleared the dust away from the sensor. If the problem has returned then I'd imagine that more dust has found its way under your screen and is blocking the sensor again.

I think it ridiculous that a phone can go faulty over a bit of dust?, sounds like poor design to me

Re: Nokia Lumia 920 Proximity alledgely repaired question

By any chance, would this have occured after having the touch panel replaced?

As far as i am aware, each touch panel can be a slightly different shade, meaning the proximity sensor need to be recalibrated id the glass is ever changed.
