I got my Lumia 920 from dubai; however when i set my location and country to India the camera does not work? is it because the phone is not officially launched in India??

what error are u getting when u open camera app? Have you tried resetting your phone from about option in settings menu?

As already mentioned so many times on this Forum, the local Nokia Authorised Dealers or Nokia India are in the best position to answer this query ...

Camera is working perfectly fine on my Nokia Lumia 920 in MUMBAI .. 

BTW, do you mean that the camera works when you change the location to UAE ??

Yes I am very much in Mumbai ...and only yesterday took some 45-50 photos from my Nokia Lumia 920 during a family gathering ..

Just to add i'm also from India. Used the phone in two locations Delhi & Patna & it works great.

Bhai, how did you get the Lumia 920 in India because it has not been released for India yet, so that means you bought it from foreign country probably US, AT&T version ?
Also i wanted to ask if Nokia City Lens with the augmented Reality thing works in India or not ?
Also what about the Nokia Drive/Map ? Does it show acurate result of the route & timings of train & other public service ?
I guess not ?

Yes it isa GIFT from abroad... and yes, all the Functionalities / features work fine. Though the routes for Navigation works absolutely fine I never bothered to check the Train / Bus timings because I travel by my own car..City Lens also works wonderfully ...

In short, I am extremely happy with my Nokia Lumia 920

there is issue with camera in nokia lumai 920 phones . send to nokia lback. they will replace it .

I have the same issue it wont work at all... they have given the replacement,.(NEW)

this is not realted to location.//// buddy its hardware fault from nokia - they are replacing...
most problem comes in nokia white phone...
