Nokia Luna bluetooth headset not working with the Nokia Lumia 920

So I purchased the Nokia Lumia 920 in Matte Cyan Blue color.  With the advertisements for all the new devices that would be coming out to support the Lumia 920 such as the JBL Power up speaker, Play Up portable speaker, wireless charging pads, Wireless charging Luna bluetooth headsets, NFC capable bluetooth wireless noise cancelling headphones, etc,  I couldn't wait to get the phone.  Now here it is December, and the majority of the products are still not released, or in VERY short supply.  Well, since the only advertised differece for the Luna Headset was wireless charging I figured I would get the one that is available now since it matches my phone.

First off, it comes with almost NO instructions on how to get it to work.  The manual just shows some pictures like in a 3rd grade flip book with absolutely no actual instruction.  It took forever for me to figure out how to actually get the thing to pair.  The case that it comes with is what actually has the NFC pairing ability, and only from the back.  So I hold the back of the bluetooth casing holding the earpiece up to the back of the phone and it is supposed to connect via NFC.  It recognises it, but the pairing fails, EVERY time.  So then I take the earpiece out of the casing and hold the little button down for a few seconds to pair the old school way and it works.  I used it yesterday and it didn't last that long.  I fully charged it and it ran out of juice that same day on not a lot of talking so I'm extremely dissapointed in the battery life.  I put it in its casing and charged it up last night.

So today my girlfriend calls an I take it out of the casing which is supposed to make it automatically connect, which it did.  The problem, is that I can't hear her, and she can't hear me.  Now it doesn't work and we can't even talk to earch other when the bluetooth is connected.  I thought this device was made specifically for use with the Nokia Lumia products like the Lumia 900 and Lumia 920?  Anybody else having these issues?

Re: Nokia Luna bluetooth headset not working with the Nokia Lumia 920

Hi,

from Nokia Luna Bluetooth Headset User Guide:

"If the compatible phone supports NFC, activate its NFC feature, remove the headset from the cradle, and touch the NFC area of the cradle with the NFC area of your phone. The headset connects to the phone automatically."

works at least with my Luna headset and 920.

Re: Nokia Luna bluetooth headset not working with the Nokia Lumia 920

Hi NZSharp,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the  Nokia Support Discussions! :cathappy:

Check this link for detailed instructions on using the headset: Nokia Luna Bluetooth Headset Online Userguide .

If you're using a  Nokia Lumia 920 and you're having issues with pairing the Luna, try to clear the pairing and reconnect the devices. To clear the Bluetooth pairing from the phone, go to Settings, and then select Bluetooth, tap and hold the Luna Headset and delete. And then, pair the devices again via Bluetooth as what is shown in the online userguide.

If you are using NFC pairing, go to the Settings of the phone, and then select Tap+Send, turn it off and then turn it back on. And then, reconnect the Luna and the Lumia 920.

You may also try restarting the phone by pressing and holding the power and volume down keys for 10 seconds, and then once it restarts, pair the devices again.

Hope this information helps. :smileyhappy:

Cheers,
