Why the Ringtone Maker app is not available for some contries?? Its available in India but not in UK....

Can some one explain the reason?

The app requires WP 7.8 to be installed. It is available in the UK just fine.

It is also available for Windows Phone 8, and it is available and works just fine here in Australia too.

Well I have updated my L800 to WP7.8 since December 2012!!!! I get the app from Nokia App Store with QR code but without Install button and the usual not available notification!!!!!!!!

I have just applied the official 7.8 update to my lumia 800 using zune ,the update went fine , I was able to install the bluetooth share app but cannot install the ringtone maker ,get the is not available for your phone message . I am in the uk, My lumia is unlocked and not tied to any carrier. also would like to know how to get the ciinemagrapth app which dosn't seem to be in market place but I thought was going to be available after the 7.8 update. Also a bit dissapointed that there still seems to be no way to customise message tones or resize sms text. I was hoping that the update would include these basic features

When I update it with Indian Variant I get Ringtone app, Bluetooth app preinstalled. but with UK I need install Bluetooth manually, but getting the app non avialability message for Ringtone maker, Nokia Reader etc.

The same here in Spain. I've installed WP 7.8 and I was able to install the bluetooth app but not the ring tone maker.

Another issue I have noticed when searching for apps in the marketplace is that now I can't search related apps. Sends me error: 80070057

A search on UK website for the marketplace doesn't find it and scanning QR code says it's not available for UK.

As I installed it previously in the UK it seems at this time te app is not available then..

Did you try the QR code attached in my post above ?

Yes, I did. I submitted my message after I had tried that.

Surprising since it has worked for a couple of users atleast as posted here
