Re: Pink spot appearing on screen - Lumia 800

Hi

I have just noticed the exact same problem with my Lumia 800 within the last hour or so. The phone is only about 2 months old.

The spot on my screen is a kind or brown/red colour but it is in exactly the same position as yours.

Would be good to hear what happened. Did you get a resolution to the problem?

Re: Pink spot appearing on screen - Lumia 800

Update....

I returned to the O2 store in Fareham and showed them the issue with the screen and then showed them this web page so that they could see it is not an isolated issue.

They sent it off on 2nd March and I recieved it back yesterday to my home address on the 6th. It seems to be fixed now. Which is good.

A very good service I thought, however my only criticism is that O2 gave no indication on whether it was a software or hardware fault. They have however upgraded it to Windows 7.8 now. Perhaps this fixed it?

Rookie mistake from me however - having not sent a phone off for repair before and the Lumia 800 not having a SD card, the pictures on my phone were lost. Only a couple of months worth but they were mostly of my family so pretty precious.

Lesson learned - Make sure you upload anything precious to Skydrive before the phone gets wiped.
