Nokia
When I purchased my Lumia 920 in November, the Nokia Lumia 920 site in India listed the phone as 4G.
The Lumia 920 site in India no longer lists the phone as 4G in India.
Please can you explain why the website has changed and confirm if the phone is usable as 4G in India or not.
Thanks
Scott

According to the specifications of the 920 on the Nokia India page, LTE (4G) isn't supported in India so the phone is sold as a 3G phone and not 4G

I asked if it was usable as a 4G phone. Obviously it can be used as a phone at lower speeds, that's not the point.
The Nokia 920 India page originally listed the phone as a 4G phone, now it doesn't.
I wanted an answer, from Nokia, as to why they had changed the page, and if indeed the phone is not a 4G phone in India.
I suspect rayhipkiss is right, and thanks for that, but I want confirmation from Nokia themselves.
I would email them, or contact them via livechat, but they've chosen to have neither option on the website.

I'm pretty sure that Nokia in Ireland will be about as much use as Nokia in the UK were.
It's Nokia India, or someone who knows why they took the decision they did that I need.

I do not mean to be rude, but whilst I am grateful for all the effort people are putting in, sending me links to information that does not answer my questions or telephone numbers that I can find myself using the web in the same way as you have - let me reiterate
The point of this post, is to look for a response FROM NOKIA, not from wouldbe helpful fans.
I am looking for an answer to my question, if you are not a NOKIA EMPLOYEE WITH AN ANSWER TO MY QUESTION then I am not going to be reading your response now, so please, whilst I am grateful for you taking the time - please don't waste it.
Thanks.

Try not to cry there Jimmy.
I've been perfectly polite and thanked you for your input. However, I have said FROM THE START that this was a question for Nokia, not for average joe user on the street.
I appreciate you may have your point of view, want to help to boost your white stars or whatever - but I was directing this question at Nokia themselves.
There's nothing wrong with that, I want their response and not yours and I've done my best to politely tell you that I don't need anyone elses input but Nokia's.
Nothing attitudey about it.
It's not like I've told you to get lost is it ?

Before anything else...
Just a gentle reminder, we are using a peer-to-peer discussion forum and we have to maintain a friendly atmosphere. Please ensure polite and respectful correspondence with each other to avoid causing arguments and/or offending other users.
Hi scotthillier,
To address your concern, Nokia Lumia supports 4G or LTE, however for you to be able to use this connection, you need to confirm with your network provider if they support it. For technical specifications of the phone, you may refer to this site:
http://www.developer.nokia.com/Devices/Device_spec
As to why the information was changed on the Nokia India website, we need first to investigate this by directing your concern to the appropriate channel. Since forum is intended for user-to-user interaction, most of the posts are being attended by forum users as well.
Contact Us page for each Nokia Sites has IP detection, which can be the reason why you cannot see them. It will only be available if you are accessing the website within the specific country.
For example, contact information for Nokia India will only be available if you are accessing it in India.
Please see your inbox as I have sent you a Private Message with the instructions on it.
