Re:A New Mobile phone

Hello all, just posted Re:earphones in C-series forum, different question.

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post.

Have got a C6-01 at present, contracts up soon.

Was looking into upgrading to the Nokia lumia 920, but, no Hardware Radio.

Then I tried the Nokia Pureview, ok camera which is great, rubbish the rest.

I am looking for a Built in Radio mobile, with Apps, as good camera as possible.  Not symbian.

Thanks, gep

Re: Re:A New Mobile phone

It's a shame you're dead set on having an FM radio because you'd be missing out on having the 920 which is a great phone. So, you're not left with much choice if Symbian is a no-no. All you're left with is possibly the Lumia 900 which does have an FM radio and a decent Carl Zeiss 8 MP camera.

Re: Re:A New Mobile phone

Well what I have read is that L920 have the hardware for radio, it is only disabled now by WP8 software. There is of course no grantee that it will be enabled in coming updates but anyhow the HW is there ... So might be that is coming ...

Re: Re:A New Mobile phone

Tunedin is a fantastic app and will give a far better choice of stations locally, nationally and internationally. I appreciate that if you don't have an unlimited data plan it's a bit of a problem but if you do the reception and choice beats fm hands down.

Re: Re:A New Mobile phone

Hello all, the place i work in is fully metal, and does not get good reception even to receive and make calls. I have tried o2, three networks and have tried Tunein radio, cannot receive it as internet cannot be accessed either fully.
My Nokia C6-01 used to receive very few stations until my earphones broke and have tried others.
I got DAB digital radio and thats just as bad.
At present i am using my music player, but miss news, sport and newer songs etc, so would love a radio.
My contracts up soon, so i was looking at the nokia 920, looks good.

Thanks for your replies, will have to look around, or maybe try out the nokia 900, Gep
