Hi, I have a new Nokia Lumia and I cant work it out at all. I couldnt even turn the thing on! My questions are:
When you are in something, such as making a call, how do you get back to the home screen, Ive pressed every button I can see.
How do you send a text, I press send, nothing happens.
What is Windows Live ID and why do I need to sign up to it?
Thank you for your understanding

As Jimmy said..
The Windows button will return you to the startscreen right away. The app or task you were using will be suspended. Some tasks like a call will remain active and either just keep running or show the notification on top of the screen, just tap that to get back to the app or task.
The back button will step back one screen at a time until you are back on the start screen. In this case the app or task will be ended.
You can return to a suspended task or app by pressing and holding the back key on the start screen. this will show you a lost of the most recently suspended apps. Just select the one you are looking for to return to it.
You will find a lot of information on the page mentioned below but feel free to ask and we'll be happy to help if we can.
