Touch sensitive buttons pressing themselves

When trying to watch youtube videos or playing games, my Lumia 900 will randomly open the multi tasking menu or Bing search.

I know I am not clicking them accidentaly because it does the same thing when I place the phone on a table and not lay a finger on it.

I'm currently living in Poland for school, but my parents bought the phone for me in the United States and sent it here for Christmas.

I'm sure it is a hardware problem and not software because i have reset my device.

Can i send this to Nokia Europe/Poland to get it fixed? Will it be free?  It is an unlocked AT&T branded phone.

Device: Cyan Nokia Lumia 900 running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango

Thanks in advanced!

Sadly, the warranty for your phone is valid in North America only. It's not valid in Europe.

That's unfortunate. Looks like I need to try to work my magic with Nokia customer service!

Re: Touch sensitive buttons pressing themselves

I had this problem myself with my 900. You have to open the phone up and place a strip of aluminium foil over the buttons between the screen. There are several guides on Youtube on how to open the phone up, it's quite simple and only takes a few minutes and fixes the problem permanently.

It beats me how the developers/testers at Nokia missed this problem.

Hope this helps :smileyhappy:
