I received my Lumia 920 yesterday and I transferred the contacts from my old N8-00 right away using the Transfer My Data-application on the Lumia. 

All contacts were transferred successfully according to my Lumia, but I can't find the contacts anywhere (I suppose they should be in the 'People'-hub?)

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Go to People hub --> Settings --> Filter my Contact List. Tick appropriate boxes

That's not going to help me, because I want to sync the contacts from the contact list on my old phone, not my whole Hotmail or Facebook contact list. That are the only options I have in the Filter my Contact List menu...

You need to at least tick the one that used when registering your phone. Probably one of your Microsoft accounts such as your Hotmail or Live.

I found it. Had to delete all of my old contacts from my Hotmail account and then sync it with Ovi Suite contacts.
