I am having same problems and i am using Idea 3g can anyone please help

Got issues with WhatsApp on my Lumia 710-
I had Vodafone at first- ported to DoCoMo (Postpaid).
Now, Whatsapp isn't working properly.
It notifies me of new texts, but doesn't open them when I open the Whatsapp window.
Under Settings, it always shows "Not Connected".
Works properly once synced to my PC, through Zune.
Tried changing the DoCoMo APN to the hvc type, still doesn't work.
HELP!
