So the tango update has officially added tethering support, but only in a few countries at the moment, still not available in the UK

Its a shame because T mobile UK have just updated their network to 7.2 Mbps and I'm getting a solid 5-6+ Mbps signal with them, but still have to keep on swapping my sim card every day between my Lumia 800 and previous X10 mini pro.

Hopefully it wont take too long to get this update in the UK, I want to be able to make the most of my full monty price plan with fully unlimited internet and tethering, My mobile is basically my main phone and internet line now, 2000 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited 7.2 mbps internet with tethering and no limits. I dont use landlines anymore.

So, lack of tethering or ability to work as modem in Nokia Lumia 800 isn't disadvantage any more. This is for me joke and major reason while people go to shop and buy every other phone. Also. If I would know about this... I bought other phone too.
Sorry. Lumia i WP is nice. But if make modem and phone in one device is too complicated for Nokia, i would buy other phone.
I don't know any other phone in this price with so big defect. It should be fixed as soon as posible but it look like, nokia don't care.

Version 2.0 of the user manual for the Lumia 800 (downloaded from Nokia Lumia 800 download site) already describes how to use internet sharing (tethering). I have read somewhere that the WP 7.5 Refresh (aka Tango) that includes tethering is going to be released for Lumia 800 end of June/beginning of July. We'll just have to wait ...

While I can understand the wait can be frustrating it has been established that tethering will be available in the coming update (availability will depend on operator approval though). Does anyone know if USB tethering is possible with Nokia Lumia? I don't have wireless on my PC...
