The question is in topic. The card is for 32Gb Class 10, first it was in FAT32, then I formatted it to exFAT.
No clue why phone is not seeing it at all.

@microsd
Although it would depend upon size of media files intended have you tried formatting in NTFS?

There are no issues inserting and removing microSD, push the memory card in until you hear a click, then pull the card out?

No, the card is perfectly "clicks" in and "clicks" out.

@microsd
Have you tried a different memory card as know on good authority that no issues inserting 16GB class 10 which was recognised it without issue without formatting being necessary.

Back up the phone
Go to settings, about and reset the phone.
restore the phone
Your SD card should show up now. Thats how I got it to work on mine

It happened to me too.
I bought a Kingston Micro-SDHC 32GB, Class 10
and Lumia 820 didn’t recognize at all no matter what I have tried - soft/hard reset.
I exchange the memory on the store with a different brad
Samsung MicroSDHC 32GB, Class 10
and now works perfectly.
So.. be carefully when choosing the memory, since Lumia 820 is not compatible with all of them.
Cheers,
Claudiu

Does anyone know if the Lumia 820 supporsts MicroSD 'XC' cards. All the 64gb ones seem to be XC and not HC and I'm not sure if these are supported or work.
Thanks
Nick

Yes, 820 recognises SanDisk 64GB microSDXC.

I just went out and bought a brand new Patriot Memory MicroSDHC 16GB, Class 10. It didn't work. I'm going to try and exchange it for one made by Samsung or SanDisk.
I sure wish Nokia would elaborate on exactly what these "compatible memory cards approved for use with this device" are.

Try with a lower speed microSD, I believe Class 6 is about the limit which can be handled. Class 10 is an unecessary and expensive overkill.
