I'm new to the forums, and I'm not too good with cell phone compatibilities, so any help is much appreciated.
I'm currently in Ontario now, but I'm moving to the U.S. next month. I was wondering if I could buy a Nokia Lumia 710 from Windmobile, and whether it would work on T-Mobile's network in the U.S if I pop in a SIM card from T-Mobile.
Here's the specs for the Windmobile phone i want to buy:

Here's the specs for the same phone being sold by T-Mobile:

Thanks! Much appreciated.
The handsets are exactly the same, so you do not have a problem with technical compatibility.
You will have a problem if the phone you buy from WindMobile is locked to WindMobile, i.e. it will not work with a SIM card from any other network until you have it unlocked by WindMobile.
T-Mobile does not have a 4G network either, this is only a marketing ploy made possible by the relatively vague mobile standards differing between regions/countries. The same type of service could not be legally called 4G in the UK for example. What is considered proper 4G in the rest of the world is called LTE in North America.
The Lumia range is quite difficult with regard to changing network settings. Do you have a Canadian or a US-registered Windows Live account ?
