I have a lumia 920 and the wireless charging pad. My phone was able to charge wirelessly yesterday but now it does not work at all. My friend has a lumia 920 as well and he was able to place his phone on my pad and started charging right away.
Anyone have any idea why this might be happening?
Thanks,
Al

I talked to nokia support and they told me to return it to AT&T for another one... ![]()

Well that would be the normal solution for a technical fault, must be an issue with the inductive coils in the handset ? First issue I've heard, but also the first person I've known to use the charging pad, I don't have one yet !

I have the same issue. The phone would buzz and say it was charging when I put it down on the charging pad. But I would leave it on the charger and the percentage of life left would actually start going down... So I went to the AT&T store I purchased it at and tried it on another charging pad and it would show as it was charging but it again would not gain any charge. So they had me call the customer care number and they are sending me a replacement unit. ![]()

Where are you located that you are seeing the mythical charging pads out in the real world? They are more scarce than the apple lightning adapters.
Anyway, this phone is hard to charge to begin with. It can run down on a charger if an app is using too much power. Do you have something running in the background?

The first time I tried to use my charging pad, I woke up in the morning and my 920 was dead. So I plugged it into my wall charger and I was never able to bring it back to life. So I went into At&t and exchanged it for a new one.
Last night I stuck it on the charging pad and this morning I woke up and it had barely more charge then it did when I went to bed. Seems like there is something wrong with the charging pads (or the phones).
I have everything turned off on my phone and only two email accounts set up with push. Otherwise it might as well be in battery saver mode. I didn't even bother to setup my phone this time fearing that the charging pad would kill it again, and now I am worried that had I had less of a charge on my phone when I went to bed (like I did the night before) that it might have been dead when I woke up as well.

No issues with me too.. BTW did you see the charging light on the Pad coming ON when you start charging ?

Think that you will find more plentiful in USA, so not particularly helpful when users with Euro version 920 say no problems here. At the moment just means adding another charger to line up of existing ones with either 2mm or micro USB so "wire spaghetti" has increased if anything.
Strangely enough light goes out when 920 fully charged, but not if 820 on the plate!

Yep the light came on both times. It is by my bed side so I had to cover the light (I like my room dark when I sleep).;
I will try it again tonight and see where it takes me. Perhaps it is the wireless charging pad.

Was there an answer to this as my UL Lumia 920 has just started to do the same thing. It has been working happily for nearly two weeks on the Nokia charge stand, now, the light comes on but the phoen doesn't charge.
I know it's the phone as my work mates nexus 4 charges on the stand.
The problems I'm having with the Nokia Lumia WP8 920 is now becoming a business distraction. This is now my 3rd handset, all three have had issues like rebooting , battery drain etc. and have had to be replaced.
