Hello,
I bought the 920 upon returning from vacation on 11/13. I bought the wireless charging stand as well. The first few days it worked flawlessly. I went away on a business trip and upon my return the phone would no longer charge wirelessly.
I went to ATT to have them look at it. I was given the run around and told I had to run across town (an hour away) to their service center where I also got a good run around. I asked them if they could open a charger to see if it was my charger or the phone. They assured me it was the charger based on literally no diagnosis. Extremely frustrating. They ordered a replacement which they assured me would be here in two days. Its been almost two weeks.
Anyway, today I finally received the wireless charging plate from the ATT promotion. I promptly opened the box to see if my phone would charge hoping it would. However it does not.
Now, with both the stand and the plate, they light comes on acknowledging the link, and on the stand the nfc app launcher works. Neither will charge the phone.
Is there anything that I can try? I have already don't a hard reset erasing all my data, multiple resets, scanned through all the settings, etc.
PLEASE HELP!

Take it back to ATT and demand a replacement even if it is over the exchange period as you reported the problem before the exchange period expired. There is no help for hardware problems in this forum.

Ya, I see that as my only option!
Thanks, I didnt know this was software only.

I had the same problem. I just unpluged the charging cable from the adapter and pluged it back in and it started to charge again.
My only problem is that I chose the charger to launch the weather app when I place the phone on the charger. It doesn't launch. I wonder why.

I am having the same issue with my 820. The light indicates wireless link, but the plate actually appears to drain the battery instead of charging it.
Of course this is all after the AT&T store didn't inform me that I needed the charging cover. I have both now, but the wireless charge doesn't function except in reverse.

You're not the only ones. I had the same problem, tried multiple charging plates, and no dice. It's the phone. I have to send it back to Nokia for repair.

To those that are having issues with their Lumina 820s and wireless charging:
> pay close attention to the contact pins when you take the charging case off. There are two above the camera and four on the lower portion of the device. All of these pins need to be fully extended to make appropriate contact with the charging case for the system to work correctly. Upon close visual inspection of my handset I discovered that only three of the four pins in the lower portion were extended. The fourth, and closes to the battery insert did not extend as if the spring behind it was missing or otherwise malfunctioning.
I brought this to the attention of the AT&T store locally. They determined that I needed a warranty replacement device which I now have. I can also report that my issues have been solved.
Good luck to the rest of you.
