Re: downloading and update problem for Nokia Lumia610

Hi,

Your girlfriend probably used her hotmail address to set up the phone which is why you get this message. In order to fix this you will have to reset the Lumia and enter your own hotmail address after which this will be resolved.

First make sure you have synced all your music, pictures and videos on the phone with Zune and then reset using Settings>about>reset your phone. When the Lumia restarts enter your own hotmail address as the main account.

If you entered any contacts on the phone they will be available on the Microsoft Account from your girlfriend. When she logs in on a PC or Mac to outlook.com with her credentials you can export the contacts from there by clicking the down arrow next to the text Outlook in the topleft of the screen, from there select People. You will now select Manage>Export and you will download the contacts to the PC.

Next log in to your own Hotmail account and again go to People and select Import Contacts from Add people to your contact list. On the next screen leave Step 2 at Microsoft Outlook (using CSV) and at step 3 click Choose file and find the file you downloaded earlier, then click Import contacts. Your contacts will now be on your own account and will be available on  the Lumia again after the next synchronisation occurs.

Hope this helps, let us know if you have any further questions.
