Anyway to force 3g setting only on lumia 920? although 2g and 3g available, it keep using 2g even after setting higher network to 3g. Is there any update or apps to force 3g only?

in my area, the 3g network is slightly weaker than 2g, this is the main cause making the phone keep prefer 2g network even the 3g already good enough for connection. Any suggestion?

The Lumia ancestor Nokia N9, has the good gene which allow the network setting to be Dual mode, GSM, and 3G, but its successor has dropout the good gene.

Currently not possible to force 3G network mode as highest connection speed set to 3g would only work if your area has 3g signal strength greater than 2g signal strength....kind of disappointing that Microsoft has designed it that way.....you can try posting your suggestion here http://windowsphone.uservoice.com/forums/101801-feature-suggestions

It used to be ##3282#. Now it's just ##3282 and call. Try it.

After dialing that code, look for the three dots (...) and then hit "settings". Works on my 520 also.
