how to disable the proximity sensor lumia 822

Is there a way to disable the proximity sensor?  I droped my phone and cracked the top of the screen, now when i dial a number the screen goes black right away and there is no way to turn it back on I have resorted to taking the batterie out everytime I need to end a call. The phone is a Lumia 822, thank you.

Unfortunately the proximity sensor cannot be disabled by the user. Best bet it to get the screen replaced by a Nokia Care Point. You can locate your nearest care point using the link below.

Re: how to disable the proximity sensor lumia 822

Thank you, any idea where I can get replacement parts for the Lumia 822? in particular the front facing camera. I was able to remove the proximity sensor from my phone and attached to it is the front camera. i was just going to leave these parts out of my phone and call it a day but without it my rear camera doesnt work and I cant live without that.

hi mate,

we do not discuss unauthorised repairs / modification of hardware/software on these forums, as they void warranty / cause damage. therefore you will need to check for these yourselves, or do the safest thing and take your phone back to your point of purchase....if they are being less than helpful, then contact Nokia Care: http://nokia.com/support
