i have the nokia lumia 900 and live in san diego ca. i've used the gps on my phone for 2 things - turn-by turn directions with nokia drive and monitoring my runs and bike rides with the sportstracker app. both have issues with, what i'm guessing is, the gps signal. on my runs, my routes tracked with the gps are jumping all over the place and i'm unable to get an accurate read of my route and time. when i use nokia drive, the direction of my car and my position on the road jump around, causing recalculated routes. both work minimally well but see to be a bit over sensitvie...idk. anyone out there with similar problems? better yet, anyone got a fix?

I'm also in San Diego and have used it a few times here, but mosty when I have traveled out of state. I've noticed similar issues, where ocassionally, even when I'm on the correct route it will think I am off it and recalculate. However, it seems to always recalculate to the same route. I've noticed this usually happens when I am near an interchange or intersection (either passing thru or going onto a new road or highway).
My best guess is that the accuracy of the gps or compass is poor.
I've used endomondo as a sports tracker (in a wide open space) and the track it recorded looked great (no jumping around).

I'm having the same problem here in Costa Rica with my Lumia 900.
The funny thing is that before having the phone unlocked, the gps worked almost perfect. Nokia drive never missed the position in the gps, only ocassionally it kept with the message "looking for gps".
But now with a sim card the gps works barely sometimes, this is a deal breaking for some and it's difficult to recommend this phone (or any lumia) with this BIG issue.
I hope somebody at nokia have some answer and crossing fingers that is not the hard reset.

Sounds a bit like the Assisted GPS feature can't get a network access point and in this respect setting up with new SIM upon reset device maycatch the right setting. Don't know whether you have "Network Setup" application from Nokia Collection in Marketplace/Store to reset network settings.
