lumia 920 completely frozen again

I have been having serious trouble with my lumia 920 freezing and becoming completely unresponsive.

The phone completely locks up, touchscreen doesn't work, I cant even turn the phone off and a hardware reset doesn't work either

I took the phone to a Nokia care center who tried to fix it, couldn't and they ended up sending it away to get fixed.

It came back working, but 24hrs later, it had locked up again completely.

Spoke to Nokia support who told me I had to send it away again which I did, and I picked up the phone this morning after 10 days away, and 8 hrs on, it has completely locked up again.

Hardware reset makes no difference, it resets the date, but the touchscreen isn't responding to anything.

Im really at my wits end with this, I have a great phone that I can't use, and I now have no faith in Nokia being able to fix it as it has been away to them twice this year already and each time it has come back working and failed again on the same day.

What can I do now - all I want is a working phone

Sorry to hear about your predicament. I think you've got a good case to ask for a replacement this time. If you don't get satisfaction from your local care point, you should consider contacting Nokia directly using the Nokia upport tab to the bottom right of this screen.

Already tried, they want me to send it back again, but the only person who can make a decision to replace the device is the support engineer..

Seeing as it has been back twice already, Im not hopeful - Im thinking of returning the device for a refund

A third logged visit to address the same issue without resolution should certainly escalate this and warrant it's replacement.

Symbian specialist until 31/01/2013 with interests in Maemo & MeeGo but an aversion to Windows!
