i noticed that after making a call for arount 10 mts or when the phone heats up a bit, the screen starts to flicker in all open windows even lock screen, i tried all options (auto brightness on/off , low to high) , changed theme (dark, light) , colors), phone restart.

it only returns to normal after about 5 mts.

the level of heat i am referring to is no more than body temperature.

please help

I had this issue as well, mine has nothing to do with the phone heating up though. It just starts flickering after the screen's been turned on for a few minutes. I think it's more like the backlight that is flickering in my case. Took it back to the store today have to wait for a few days to see if they'll exchange it for a new one.

I have been facing the same problem .... my screen flickers only during phone calls ... it is hard to drop the phone call as the screen goes black till the phone call drop on its own. and till then it comes on for a split secound.. really annoying .. may be a problem with the proximity sensor.

hi mate,

are you sure you don't have something like a screen protector blocking the proximity sensor? also check that you are up-to-date with all the latest Nokia system apps in the Store, and that if things still aren't working, try performing a soft reset (pressing the volume down and power buttons together until the phone vibrates)?

i took it to the store and it got exchanged on the spot, no problems now, but my wife bought one, and it has a new problem....

when phone power is drained, it takes 1 to 2 hours on charger to turn on, and a reset only shows the charging icon , it shows a line at the bottom of the screen in a flash before showing the charging icon....

i think this phone had to quality testing of any kind... neither before nor after manufacturing and design.... nokia is just desperate to get back into the game.....

i think i will exchange both our phones with an android or an iphone 5, although i liked the WP8 interface, but i dont think that they did anything up to todays standards..

and no i didt have any kind of protective covers or stickers, the phone is simply not stable.
