vibrate only for text message

vibrate only for text message

i have a lumia 900, windows 7.8, rogers (canada), this issue i noticed  in 7.5 before i upgraged to 7.8.

 

 

i want my phone to only vibrate when i recieve a text message, and vibrate and ring for when i get a call. in the settings i put the sound for new text or IM to none. and kept ringer and vibrate on but it doenst vibrate when i get a new text message. this may be a software bug?

It works in the following way on Lumia 920 ..

Ringer ON, Vibration ON - Vibrates for a couple of seconds then stops vibrating and starts ringing when a call is received. Vibrates and Tone alerts when SMS is received.

Ringer OFF, Vibration ON - Vibrates contineously when a call is received. Vibrates when SMS is received.

Ringer ON, Vibration ON (Alert tone set to NONE)  - Vibrates for a couple of seconds then stops vibrating and starts ringing when a call is received. NO Vibration and NO Tone alert when SMS is received.

^ that doesnt help my problem. it is not vibrating at all when i set it to ringer on, vibrate on and alert sound to none!

Yes..The point is it works (or rather doesn't) that way only it seems..at least for the time being ..on WP8 also ...
