Re: Cannot login to ovi store with wifi....

I have the same problem. I've seen a lot of similar posts about N97 saying that the only way to connect to Ovi Store is via your network.

The only work around that I have found is to select the option to have the handset always ask when making a connection. However, this IS a workaround and is very tedious to do every time.

Why is there no option in the Ovi Store app that allows you to select your access point?! I have set my Internet access point with my local WiFi as priority 1 but this problm still occurs.

Re: Cannot login to ovi store with wifi....

Just figured out how to do it. The solution is not obvious but, basically, Ovi Store is defaulted to connect through WAP services, I read that this is set by the network provider where the phone is bought through the network.

The solution is to go to Menu>Settings>Connectivity>Settings>Destinations

select the destination that contains your WiFi network, probably Internet. This will open a list of access points listed by priority. Here you should see your WiFi access point.

Holding your finger on the access point you wish to use brings up an option menu, one of the options is Copy to other dest.
Select this then choose WAP services.
Reopen Ovi Store and you will find that the connection goes straight to WiFi.

Thank goodness!

NOKIA, there a lot of threads on this topis, which would sugges that this operation is not very intuitive. Let's hope Windows can do better!
