Trying to update Opera on a C3-01 with Ovi Suite 3.1.1.90: "Something's gone wrong. There was a problem installing the file. Error code: 300". What does this mean and where does Ovi Suite store its detailed log?

Are you able to update Opera on your phone? It should be visible also there.

Error 300 could mean a problem to connect to the service. If your network is working properly then the error could be on server side.

This attachment will cure the 300 error code remember to install it on C DRIVE and in the correct order, I got this from NOKIA and it has just solved the problem on my N8 Good luck Clive.

Install the following QT files on the C: drive of your phone in exactly this sequence
       * http://dl.nokia.com/ns/sdo/QtSA4.7.301.sisx
       * http://dl.nokia.com/ns/sdo/QtWebkitSA4.8.0.sisx
       * http://dl.nokia.com/ns/sdo/QtMobilitySA1.1.301.sis
While you install above QT files you MUST keep the following things in mind:
o    Installation must be done to C: drive of the phone. If you by mistake select E: drive, you can cancel the installation and re-install again. If E: drive installation is complete, you can re-install one more time and select C: drive for installation.
o    Installation order must be met. First it has to be QT (QtSA4.7.301.sisx).
-    Start Ovi Store

I found this problem, and i solved it.

maybe you install and run a program clear on your device, example: xclear,... This app delete some data effected some app support transfer data from ovi to your device.

Now, go to Setting / Application mgr./installed apps and delete some app: Media DS plugin, MMS DS plugin, SeCon Updater, Service Controllers, SMS DS Plugin.

Then, reconnect your device with pc. wait for ovi install all support app. Now, problem was resolved.

Hi - I deleted all the files, and the moment i plugged my phone back in, Ovi Suite automatically loaded them again Now I still get the same error code and still cant load the app. 

I also followed the advice to load the other programmes first, but that also did not work because the filenames were not recognised and relabelled them as 'attachments'. 

I am quite miserable about my phone...... struggle with it all the time. It has taken all the fun out of it!

Hi - I tried this but when i get to the 2nd and 3rd downloads, it labels it at 'attachments' and then it won't download.

i also tried to remove the plugins and other support files as a previous person suggested. That also did not work.

Please help!! I like my phone, but simply can't get it to work properly. Is there a way to download an app and NOT go through Ovi?

I relabelled the files and managed to download them all. In all cases the phone asked if i wanted to replace files, and I said 'yes'. Then I tried to download the app again (Nokia-N8-nl-ReisplannerXtra[fullstop] jad) and got the same Error 300 msge.
