Every time I connect to the Nokia Suite (v 3.3.86) I get a message even with a yellow "!" warning sign telling me there is an Update for my phone. But it is only "Microsoft Apps" - which is supposed to be optional - I DON'T WANT TO INSTALL IT!
How do I get rid of the warning?
How do I skip the update, once and for good?
How do I remove an optional Update from the list?
Where is the "Skip"-Button?
Thanks
Joerg

Hi Quasi_007 and farby,
Have you tried the option for disabling the Automatic download of Software updates in Nokia Suite?
You can do it by going to Nokia Suite -> Tools -> Options -> General and then scroll down and see the Software updates section. You can uncheck the "Automatically download software updates option".
Thanks,

Hello taza99,
thanks for the hint - but sorry, didn't work.
I restarted the NOKIA Suite, restarted my phone.
after that even restarted my phone and the whole computer - to no avail.
Problem remains and I still get the "warning" that Microsoft Apps is ready to be installed, with no possibility to skip the update.
What do You think?
Maybe the reason is, that the file is already downloaded onto my computer.
What is the directory, where Nokia Suite stores the downloads - if I would delete the installer there, maybe it would solve the problem.
thx
Joerg

Check this
c:/Users/(your user name)/AppData/Local/Nokia/NSU3/NOSSU2/applications

Sorry, forgot to mention, it is a company laptop running WIN XP not Win7
so it should be somewhere in "docs and settings" I guess?

Hello Farby,
even though the AutomaticDownload option is still deactivated NokiaSuite tells me that the AgendaServer for Lotus is waiting for me to install it. I don't even have Lotus Notes installed anywhere... this is ridiculous. I only operate the phone and the NiokiaSuite a couple of weeks.
I don't even want to imagine how the menu looks like after months of usage...
Please do something about it.
Thanks
Joerg

I'm having the same problem. I have a N8 while I get the message that there are updates. These are two games I do not want to have on my device!
Ditto on my E7.
There's an update available from Microsoft apps. This has been terrible but now I have my device to search for updates and there is an update report in the "notification bar" which I can not remove it unless I install.
I have often mentioned it through the feedback form to Nokia Suite, but no one seems to read this.
I will be sick of it!
Why not the same as the Windows Update option "hide this update"?

Hi all,
Your suggestions are welcome! "Hide this update" feature should be there.
We will escalate your proposal.
Thanks,

Ok then it should have been fixed but it is still there.
Thank you for reminding.
