Nokia Suite managment

Hello,
I have question about Nokia Suite:
in old Nokia PC Suite, I could sync contacts, also I was able to copy that contacts in VCF format   anyware i wanted (same for SMS), but, in Nokia Suite I have no such option, is it possible to do this? (copy contacts separated?) , or how can I save my data (conatcts and SMS) stored in Nokia Suite when reinstalling windows?

Nokia Suite version 3.3.86

OS: Windows 7 64bit

Thanks

Hi gio_kiborg,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting!

Nokia Suite, when running on a Windows 7 system, will sync contacts to the Windows contacts list if selected in Tools/Options/contacts 'Sync with contacts application' 'Windows Contacts'' . When you have synchronized your contacts go to 'Start' and enter 'contacts' in the search field. This will open your contact list. You will see the synced contacts there. From here you can select 'Export' From the windows menu and export to either a Comma Separated Value (.csv) textfile or vCards.

In Nokia Suite when you go to the Messages screen and select 'Conversations' you will be able to export messages through 'File>Export all messages'.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on!

Re: Nokia Suite managment

Monday, May 28, 2012  Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

I contacted NokiaSuite Cus. Ser....and (they) don't seem to understand my Question:

Why can't I  V-I-E-W a Response (to a sent message in Contacts)  while in my NokiaSuite 3.4.49 /w Nuron 5230 attached  to my computer via USB??  (I think we call that a "Conversation"...right ?)

With my phone attached..I can view-on-screen my SENT message...but.. I have to detach

my Nuron and view the Reply.  (it) doesn't show-up on my NokiaSuite computer screen.

Are you sending reply thru' Nokia Suite or Phone ?

Once you send the reply..Click on SYNC next to the phone icon.. Then it should show in the Nokia Suite 'Conversation' view.

Else, you need to EXIT the Nokia Suite and then launch it again ...

Re: Nokia Suite management

Kosh

I have a similar query but can't follow your answer. I am trying to export my phone and SIM contacts into a csv file. I have connected my Nokia 2710c-2 to Nokia Suite 3.4.49 via usb. I can access all my contacts in Nokia Suite and can select all. I then go to file, export contacts in Nokia Suite. I am then requested to select a folder (there is no option about the file format) and when I identify my target folder, the contacts are all saved as vcard files. How do I save them as csv?
