Hi All - i've tried browsing the forum but not found the answer i need yet. Apologies if this is sitting on a post somewhere...
I've just got my shiney new Lumia 920 and want to back-up my calendar entries from my N8 via Nokia Suite & SkyDrive...
All seemed to go well, until i checked my hotmail calendar and could see that everything had been updated twice! This was my fault as i originally thought it hadn't worked as i couldn't see a file in skydrive (note to self: read instructions properly - i thought it was a file you had to download from Skydrive rather than Nokia Suite "updating" my hotmail calendar) and so did the backup again...
So i deleted the calendar from hotmail and made a new one... But now when i try to upload to SkyDrive again, Nokia Suite is telling me "No New Entries"... I've completely deleted all existing calendars from hotmail and made new ones. I've also deleted the file in SkyDrive marked Nokia - Do Not Delete.... But Nokia Suite keeps telling me there are no new entries...
How can i reset the process? I have 250+ entries and i really don't want to copy them by hand.... All my entries are showing on my N8 still...
Any recommendations?
Thanks for your time...

Right - figured out a work-around.
For this to work you need access to a computer with Microsoft Outlook installed. I'm running Win 7 Outlook 2010.
So:
You have the option to change where your calendar and tasks are synced to within Outlook.
Wait for the sync to finish and close all notifications etc, then...
Please follow these next steps carefully to save you having to repeat the export!
Make sure your saving as a .ICS file, then...
Of course if you want to alter any of these, do what you need to, but if you don't select the "Include Details" options, when you import into Hotmail, most of your entries will just say "Private" and you'll have to do it all again ![]()
Once all the above are done...
Now go to your Outlook account settings and remove your added account, to avoid duplicates (outlook will auto-update hotmail, but it seems to take ages and we can do it MUCH quicker)
And finally...
If your Windows phone is set up with the correct Hotmail/Live account (you can check this under SETTINGS within the calendar app), your phone calendar should auto-update with 10-20mins, depending on connection.
Et Voila - all your calendar entries and tasks are in your Windows Phone! Even better - recurring items are there also, something Nokia Suite couldn't do ![]()
Hope this helps!
