Hi nl21279,
Nokia suite should work properly with Win7.
Could you send us crash dump:
In Windows 7, 32 bit:
- Expand the "View problem details" in the crash dialog and copy the contents
- Open Task manager and find NokiaSuite.exe from the Processes list
- Right click over NokiaSuite.exe and select Create Dump File.
- You can now zip and send the dump file. You can attach it in the error report form http://tiny.cc/ja40z but the maximum size of one file is 50 MB. If the size is larger you can upload the file on any file upload server and write the link in the text box in the form.
Best regards,
Marina

Here under 7 Pro x64 everything runs fine.
However, I use OVI version 3.1.1.90. Maybe give that version a try, if you can still get it?

Hi jurgen, i had to migrate to version 3.1.1.90 again, i hope that it is soon to resolve this error that is the case with windows 7 x64, less evil that always kept the file from the previous version until i see that the updated version is working properly.Greetings.

Great. You force me to install an update which I can't use. First it crashed my phone, then it crashed itself, and continues to do so every time I open it. I shouldn't be surprised, this software has never worked properly since PC Suite was replaced by Ovi Suite.
No wonder you're a failing company. You apparently have no software QA.
I'm going back to PC Suite until I get a new phone, which won't be a Nokia.

HI, I've had the same problem, I was asked to download the ovi suite, which I did on my pc which is running windows 7, now it keeps crashing, I can't repair it with the nokia download and it won't uninstall - error 1601. So I have a useless computer. Can you send me a fix?

The latest version of Nokia Suite runs fine on Windows 7 and 8. If you encounter these issues while installing it is more likely your PC was in need of a repair in the first place.
Maybe it would be a good idea to re-install your system, you'll find Nokia Suite will install just fine after..
