here the same problem with a wierd exeption OVI SUITE running under VISTA HOME PREMIUM does not recognize my N8 (desktop machine) bud on my netbook running Windows 7 Home Premium there is no problem what so ever  funny thing is on my dektop Ovi Suite recognizez my N8 bud keeps claming it is not in Ovi suite configuration on the phone however suite is active ??????????????? upgrade to version 3.0.0.290 did not solve it

anybody knowing what to do?????????????

3.0.0.290 seems to have solved my N900 recognition problem from .284.

Ovi Suite 3.0.0.290 fixed phone recognition problems. X6 works fine here.
