The sync process randomly misses phone numbers (Phone -> Windows).
I tried removing all the contacts into the Windows library and restarting the sync, but the same problem happen. ![]()
Any idea?

Typically problem is that phone support more numbers than Windows. Are those lost phone numbers in a contact that has many phone numbers? Or is the lost number in such field that Windows doesn't support?

Absolutely not. ![]()
In most cases, simple name and mobile number.
I updated to the latest Ovi Suite too, the problem is there.
BUT...
Numbers are visible into the Suite. ![]()

Up.
Numbers missing also during the sync process with Outlook.
How can a similar bug be ignored for so long? I started having this problem since early versions of the Suite and it remains unsolved right now.

Same issues. When I sync with my Ovi account every detail is saved. When using Nokia Ovi Suite (3.1.1.90) the widndows contacts misses to save some numbers and the mos annoying is the not saving of mutiple mobile numbers on a same contacts.
I even got into the labour of changing the numbers to different cell name for example save one under "Cell phone", and another one under "Cell phone (home)"... And nothing happened...
When syncing with my iOS devices it uses the windows contacts which is incomplete making my information not to be complete when I needed.... If the issue is the windows contacts... ugh ok, but if the issue is the Ovi Syncing... COME ON!!!

Hi, I have the same issue after the Anna update. I'm in North America. Running windows 7 64 bit with outlook 2010. Calendar data syncs, but contacts do not. Have tried to sync by adding new contacts in the OVI suite and also Outlook but neither contact shows in the other.
Help please!

Have you tried to repair the sync?
Connect your phone (you need to do this eventhough your problem is not related to device sync)
Select Sync --> Repair sync

At least I have used the repair sync.
But no effect at all.
I think it's the windows syncing process, the windows contacts needs to be worked on.
Btw I'm on Windows Vista 32 bit

The reason for the fact that not all the phone fields are transferred from NS to Windows Contacts is that Windows Contacts application does not has correspondent fields for all phone fields from NS side.
This is the mapping between Win Contacts and NS:
Home Phone --> Telephone (Home)
Home Fax --> Fax (Home)
Home Cell --> Mobile
Work Phone --> Telephone (Work)
Work Fax --> Fax (Work)
Work Pager --> Pager.
So this issue is more like a Window Contacts application limitation.

Dear Marina,
You said "So this issue is more like a Window Contacts application limitation".
I disagree; This is the limitation of the imagination and experience your developers have.
How stupid should someone be, not be able to figure a simple logic that if a damn field is not available, use any !^%@$# Windows Contacts field which is available?
When your software cannot do a one to one matching of the fields, Nokia Suite shouldn't even call it Sync with contacts application, and place Windows Contacts as an option!
Windows Contacts syncing has always been a way for people to share their contacts among devices! What you have done is proven how dumb your software developers can be!
A simple, very simple solution is to fill in any field which is available to at least maintain the integrity of the data!
A little more intelligent solution, which might be too much for Nokia's developers, is to try and fill in Work or Home fields and then force fill in the fields it couldn't find. This way a contact with only a "Telephone" number, will at least have a number saved!
Did that sound harsh? It is really irritating when you see how simple logic gets ignored, rendering an application that has had its roots around for decades, useless.

Hi all,
I see this was a couple of months ago. Has Nokia or anyone managed to solve yet? I just broke my screen so doing a sync in to put on a new phone. I quite like Nokia's but this could be the end. I sync about 60% of my contacts.
