Hi,

I have installed nokia suite and tried to connect both an N70 & E55, and it just doesn't pick up either of them...

have tried using the connection wizard, again nothing...

any ideas???

Could you please try out these steps

1. Exit Nokia Suite (File -> Exit ) and Disconnect you device from your PC
2. Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers
3. See if your device is listed there. Right click you device and delete it.
4. Now connect you device
5. A bubble notification, "Installing device drivers for your device will appear up", click that bubble
6. See if all the things go successfully
7. If it is all OK then start Nokia Suite (If not, then take a screenshot of that and upload it in reply to this post)
8. Start Nokia Suite and see if your device is shown as connected
9. Now try out updating your phone software

I hope it will help you to connect your phone via USB.

Hi, thanx for the reply... but before I got iyour helpI was so fed up with it i already uninstalled nokia suite!!!

Ok, so i read your instructions... My control panel don't have a Devices & Printers option...

It only has Device manager
or Printers

and I have no Nokia Phones showing up anywhere...

So now I'm back to the start what should i do? I will install the suite again while i wait for your reply...

Hi,

First check your cable.

Then check you see your device on PC or not? If not, theninstall drivers for you device.

What is your OS?

You can try also this:

1. Open Nokia Suite

2. Go to Tools->Options->My Phones

3. Click "Remove this phone"

4. Reboot the computer, open Nokia Suite, connect the phone and add the device

Hi, no thats the whole point, it wont connect either of the phones so I cant remove them as they are not there...

Because they are so old I had to install the 7.1 version of suite, but still not working with the cable...

I am using XP Home edition Service pack 3 on my laptop

I am using Vista on my PC

Any more ideas?

Could you try the latest beta version Nokia Suite 3.4. You can download and install latest beta version of  Nokia Suite from here ...

To download the installer, you need to log-in with the SAME credentials that you use on this Forum..
