I'm using the sports mode on the 5500 with a bluetooth GPS and have concerns over the accuracy of the distances travelled. It regularly gives a figure 10% higher than that expected but I don't know whether the problem is with the phone or the GPS. I'm using the miniature GPSlim 240 supplied with the Navicore SAT NAV product but wondered if anyone else had similar experiances with other GPS products.
The accuracy of the built in accelerometer was terrible and I thought that connecting a GPS would make a vast improvement. But from my experience it is only slightly better. Thanks for your post.
Strangely enough, i found the pedometer function to be quite accurate... but only on level ground. When hillwalking, it really doesn't take the gradient into consideration. (Especially not for the calorie burn part)
