Hi everybody,

Upgraded the phone software to V 40.0.005 (dated Dec 29, 2009) on my 5800xm, and now my maps are blank.

When I click on the green compass I used to get a street level map, and after a while it would jump to my current position.

I can still zoom etc, and it looks like it still gets a satellite fix (shows correct coordinates) but the maps seem to have gone.

Just downloaded the Ovi maps anew from Nokia, and there is now a new menu structure, but still no maps.

Download the maps using Maps Loader .

You are trying to read old maps with new maps software .

I have a similar problem. I bought a new memory card because my old one was overloades with maps and favourites and became annoyingly slowly. So when I put in my new empty memory card I can still see my favourites but the maps are gone. As mentioned I should of course download these maps using Map Loader. Unfortunately I get a drag and drop screen saying choose your regions here but no region appears so I can't download any maps. Thanks for any help in advance.

Open the Maps application for about 20-30 seconds and close it. This will create the necessary Folders on the Memory card. Now connect the phone to PC and open Nokia Suite --> Maps .. then select the Maps you want ...
