6680 not charging

I recieved two 6680 phones from vodafone for me and my wife and have had problems with them recharging they can be on charge for hours but will not fully charge if I switched them off they charge in half the time. Vodafone swapped the phones and guess what the two new phones are exactly the same is this normal. I dont have any applications running and I did give them a full initial charge when I recieved them.
