I'm connecting my 6760 slider Symbian smartphone to my desktop PC running Windows 7 and Nokia Suite
The desktop PC is set to authorised on the phone, under Menu > Tools > Connectivity > Bluetooth > Paired devices, there is the network name of my PC in ALL CAPS with a padlock next to it.
Problem is, the phone won't connect to the PC automatically, I have to go through the pairing process every time it connects. With my netbook with built-in bluetooth, it used to be automatic.
In Device manager, I get multiple instances of the Bluetooth adapter with alert signs.
Where do I get correct drivers for Windows 7 for the Bluetooth dongle?
Thanks for your time.
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (always up-to-date)
Nokia Suite: 3.3.89
Bluetooth dongle: Sudio Linc BTA-6030

Handset: Nokia 6760
Problem: This handset will not automatically connect to my Windows 7 (x64) desktop PC via Bluetooth.
I have to add it as a new device and authenticate it every time I want to sync.
This problem did not occur until 2011.
Sync chain:
Nokia 6760 <-> Nokia Suite 3.5.34 <-> Microsoft Outlook 2010
Steps taken to resolve problem:
ii. Manually set desired settings using Menu > Tools > Phone sett., Profile, Themes
iii. Removed my PC from Menu > Tools > Connectivity > Bluetooth > Paired devices
ii. Downloaded and installed Nokia_Suite_webinstaller_ALL.exe
(VeriSign timestamp Tuesday, 1 November 2011 11:46:49 PM)
(file version 3.2.100.0)
iii. Connected mobile via USB cable.
iv. Specify sync settings in Nokia Suite.
v. Synchronized.
vi. Nokia Suite > Tools > Options > My phone > Install support software
“No support software required, phone is up-to-date”
vii. Detach USB cable.
ii. Raise computer from sleep
iii. Check that Windows Bluetooth detect the phone:
Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers > Bluetooth Devices > Nokia 6760 > Properties > Hardware > Device Functions: > Standard Modem over Bluetooth link; on Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) #3; This device is working properly.
iv. In Nokia Suite, bottom-left corner “Connect phone”
ii. Menu > Tools > Connectivity > Bluetooth > Paired devices > ARACHNOTRON (Bluetooth lock symbol)
“Found the following phones via Bluetooth: Nokia 6760 (already connected)” > Next > “<passcode>”
ii. Enter <passcode>
ii. “Checking support software”
iii. Nokia Suite bottom-left corner displays phone with Bluetooth icon, synchronizes.
Every time the PC is put to sleep and woken up (step 2.a.i-ii.), the entire process has to be repeated.
