808 error message: Unable to connect to tag. Too many tags in range

I get this error message on occasionally when waking the handsest.  I say OK and sometimes it appears again immediately but mostly it goes away and I notice nothing else.  I have only noticed it recently.  I haven't installed anything recently.

Anyone seen this or have any idea what it might be.

do you have NFC always turned on? while you're at it, it might pay to check if you have the latest firmware installed on your device, via checking via Nokia Suite on your PC. and also that you have the latest system apps by checking SW Update on the device itself, for things such as Nokia Music etc.

I did have NFC turned on. I have a home screen with the 3G WiFi Profiles , Bluetooth widgets and didn't notice NFC was on. don't actually use it.
I'll let you know [and star your reply] if this makes a difference. Thanks
